Rocket Pure is pleased to announce sponsorship of the inaugural Shedhorn Ski Mountaineering race in Big Sky, Montana. Rocket Pure, a manufacturer of natural body care products for athletes, joins outdoor equipment maker Dynafit and Bluewater Ropes for this prestigious race at the Big Sky Ski Resort, which offers some of the toughest and steepest ski terrain in the world.
Racers will get spectacular views of the Gallatin and Madison ranges as the course traverses the Headwaters and Alto Ridges, and twice summiting the famous 11,166-foot Lone Mountain. The race is 16.5 miles long and will gain 8,400 feet of elevation.
The race starts at 8 am on Saturday, April 11. The inaugural year of the Shedhorn SkiMo is by invitation only.
Bellingham, Washington-based Rocket Pure will be offering racers free samples and giving away products to winners. Pro Bar, Voke Tab, and the non-profit Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation are also sponsors in this year’s Shedhorn race.
What good is a ski mountaineering race without a killer after party? Big Sky’s Whiskey A-Go-Go night will be featuring five Montana distilleries including Willie’s and Roughstock.
